Her first dog was a birthday present - Lucky was a rescue dog (Lab, Beagle, Hound mix) that lived for eighteen years, bringing many years of joy. Most of all, Annette enjoyed spending time with, and walking her dogs. Also, she liked taking vacations in upstate New York and New England with her husband to take in the history and see the great architecture of the mansions from the past. Carl was blessed with a second marriage to the former Rosalie J. A heavy equipment operator by trade, Carl held positions with various construction companies throughout the area, including, Green Island Construction, Delia Construction, Delaney Construction, and Rifenburg Construction Company in Troy, NY, from where he retired. After his discharge, Carl married the former Janet S. ![]() He served during the Korean War and was awarded many medals, including, the Korean Service Medal, the UN Service Medal, and the National Service Defense Medal. Carl graduated from Whitesboro Central High School, and proudly entered the US Marine Corps shortly after graduation, where he was quickly promoted to the rank of Corporal E4. He was born in Utica, NY, June 26, 1933, a son of the late Carl B. McCurry, 89, of Marcy, passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at his home.
